Important Safety Information

Boxed Warning Thyroid C-Cell Tumors: GLP-1 receptor agonists, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, cause thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents. It is unknown whether these medications cause thyroid C-cell tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in humans. These medications are contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of MTC or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2).

Pancreatitis: Acute pancreatitis, including fatal and non-fatal hemorrhagic or necrotizing pancreatitis, has been observed in patients treated with GLP-1 receptor agonists. Discontinue promptly if pancreatitis is suspected and do not restart if confirmed.

Gallbladder Disease: Cholelithiasis and cholecystitis have been reported in clinical trials. If cholelithiasis is suspected, gallbladder studies and appropriate clinical follow-up are indicated.

Contraindications: Do not use in patients with a personal or family history of MTC or MEN2, or in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any excipients. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use with caution in patients with a history of pancreatitis, renal impairment, or diabetic retinopathy.

This information does not replace consultation with a qualified physician. Your Vitelize physician will review your complete medical history before prescribing any medication.
